Qatar beat Japan 3-1 in the final
The Asian Football Confederation(AFC) Asian Cup 2019 has concluded in the United Arab Emirates with Qatar emerging as champions after a thrilling 3-1 victory over Japan in the final. This marks Qatar's first AFC Asian Cup title in the tournament's history.
Qatar, who impressed throughout the tournament, took an early lead through Almoez Ali. Japan managed to equalize through Takumi Minamino, but Qatar regained the lead through Abdulaziz Hatim just before half-time. Akram Afif sealed the victory for Qatar in the second half with a third goal.
