Oilers Win First Playoff Battle of Alberta in 31 Years
The Edmonton Oilers have advanced to the second round of the playoffs after defeating the Calgary Flames in four games. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl led the way for the Oilers, combining for 15 points in the series. McDavid had seven goals and eight assists, while Draisaitl had four goals and seven assists.
The Oilers won the first two games of the series in Calgary, then lost Game 3 at home before bouncing back to win Game 4 in overtime. McDavid scored the overtime winner in Game 4, giving the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the series.
The Oilers will now move on to the second round, where they will face the winner of the series between the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues.
