Cavaliers Out-Rebound Magic, Take Early Lead in Series

Game 2 Set for Tonight in Cleveland

Cavaliers Hold 2-0 Lead

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken an early lead in their first-round Eastern Conference series against the Orlando Magic, winning the first two games by an average of 10.5 points. One of the key factors in the Cavs' success so far has been their dominance on the boards. Through two games, Cleveland has out-rebounded Orlando by a margin of 98-81. This has given the Cavs more opportunities to score second-chance points and has helped them control the tempo of the game. "We've been emphasizing rebounding all season," said Cavs coach J.B. Bickerstaff. "It's one of the most important things in basketball, and it's something that we can control. We're going to keep working at it and try to get better." In addition to their rebounding advantage, the Cavs have also been getting strong production from their starters. In Game 1, Darius Garland had 25 points and 11 assists, while Evan Mobley added 21 points and 10 rebounds. In Game 2, Jarrett Allen had 23 points and 16 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell added 22 points. The Magic, meanwhile, have struggled to keep up with the Cavs' intensity. They have been led by Paolo Banchero, who is averaging 20.5 points per game in the series. However, Banchero has also been turnover-prone, averaging 4.5 turnovers per game. Game 3 of the series is set for Friday night in Orlando. The Magic will be looking to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole, while the Cavs will be looking to take a commanding lead in the series.
